Taryn Rathbone, DVM, CVA, CAC

Dr. Rathbone earned her DVM from Cornell University Veterinary College in 2012. She completed an intensive equine internship program at Peninsula Equine Medical Center in Menlo Park, CA, where she honed her sports medicine skills and began studying equine acupuncture. She continued to expand her knowledge of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine while practicing as an ambulatory veterinarian in the high desert region of California. Dr. Rathbone earned her certification in veterinary acupuncture (CVA) from the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL in 2014. She founded Balanced Horse Veterinary Service, PLLC with the vision of improving the lives of her equine patients through a holistic approach to veterinary care. In 2015, Dr. Rathbone began studying animal chiropractic at Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic. She graduated from the program in 2016, and gained her certification in animal chiropractic (CAC) through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. She lives in Woodinville, WA with her husband, two sons and their standard poodles, Sherlock and Westley. When not with horses, she enjoys woodworking, hiking and gardening.
